Meet our Director of Business Development, Pierre Gilbert
How long have you worked with Kidzsmart?

What is your role?
For the production side of things, I gather information from everything that goes on internally at Kidzsmart and compare it to the needs and requests of our clients and suppliers; the goal is to balance both so Kidzsmart can succeed. With sales, my job is to bring in new business in different sectors and industries; the Marketing and Creative departments help with this too. I overview a small but growing team.
Why did you join the company?
I joined the company to share my printing knowledge and expertise, and learn about being the client instead of the supplier.
What do you like about working at Kidzsmart?
Back in the days when everyone was working in the office and we were all together, lunch time with colleagues and after-work socials were one of my favourite things! On a more professional note, I really appreciate the flexibility working at Kidzsmart offers me, and the trust that the company has in their employees.
What are you looking forward to at the moment?
I’m looking forward to elevating the company to higher levels than we were at even before the pandemic.
What are the values that drive you?
I am driven by seeing results, working as a group with my time, and knowing that I can make a difference for kids and families.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I’m very much into sports like hockey, golf, tennis, running, and working out in general. I also love learning new things by spending time on new passions.
What is your favorite quote or best piece of advice you’ve been given?
My uncle once told me when I was young that it’s better to know a little bit of everything than be SUPER good at just one thing.
