Boston Pizza International is Canada’s #1 casual dining brand, with locations across the country, and also internationally in the United States and Mexico. Their community outreach program includes various family activity booklets and edutainment materials distributed through restaurants and national sports events, as well as broadly accessible online and digital offerings.
In partnership with franchises in the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball and National Basketball Association, and governing bodies like Hockey Canada, the goal is to maintain the top family restaurant program in Canada with diversity & inclusivity content through sport. Objective
Our client, Boston Pizza, with their many professional sport franchise partnerships, understands that Kids Clubs and Community Outreach Programs are a key way to connect and engage with families and children.
These programs provide a direct avenue to that family fan base, and create lasting memories that forge life-long fan loyalty.
Boston Pizza sought Kidzsmart’s expertise to produce engaging edutainment materials promoting the many positive aspects of sports.
The print and digital materials were designed specifically for kids and families presenting information in a fresh and engaging way.
The products had to be crafted to work with both the Boston Pizza brand, as well as their national sports partners’ brands, and include content that was fun, educational, dynamic and engaging; inspiring family health and wellness.

These value-added products contain rich artwork and are packed with relevant, sports-specific content. Kidzsmart presents the information in a fun and engaging format. With our commitment to quality, the print and digital materials were not only a hit with kids but also parents.

For nearly 10 years this community outreach program has continued to express the core values of the Boston Pizza Kids message – sports fans come from all backgrounds.
